Stephan Großmann
Holder of the Gant d'Argent, former coach of the German national Savate team.
Stephan has been active in martial arts for many years and has led the Savate program at IMAG e.V. for a long time. He passes on his extensive experience as a coach to beginners and experienced competitors alike.
His own martial arts journey began with Jiu-Jitsu and karate. Over the years, he also worked intensively with several other martial arts, including kickboxing, contact karate, grappling and Filipino martial arts.
In 1993, Stephan came into closer contact with Savate Boxe Française during a training stay in the USA. Training with Salem Assli sparked his interest in this French martial art and shaped his sporting path from then on.
As a coach, Stephan has guided numerous athletes in national and international competition over the years. Under his coaching, athletes have achieved results at German Championships as well as at European and World Championship level. He also worked as a coach for the German national Savate team at international competitions.
Stephan holds the Gant d'Argent (Silver Glove), a high technical grade in Savate Boxe Française. He is additionally qualified as a Moniteur in Savate Défense, as well as an Initiateur for Savate and Canne de Combat.
In his training, Stephan combines technical precision with decades of experience across different martial arts. He teaches Savate both as a technically demanding combat sport and as a versatile, dynamic stand-up system.
