Karate training at IMAG e.V. Berlin

Karate

Tradition meets technical detail.

Classic Shotokan karate focused on clean technique, discipline and long-term development — for kids and adults. Training covers fundamental techniques, kata and practical self-defense in a structured, respectful atmosphere. Alongside physical fitness, the focus is on concentration, body control and mindful interaction with training partners. Beginners learn from the ground up, while advanced students can work specifically on precision and competition readiness.

Savate training at IMAG e.V. Berlin

Savate (French Boxing)

Footwork meets classic boxing.

Also known as "Boxe Française," Savate combines footwork with classic boxing into an elegant and effective martial art. Training builds footwork, distance control and technique in equal measure, and suits both sport competition and practical self-defense. Characteristic of the style are precise, fast kicks combined with classic boxing punches — a style that blends elegance and effectiveness. Training is open to beginners as well as anyone who already has martial arts experience.

Prehab & Performance training at IMAG e.V. Berlin

Prehab & Performance

Injury prevention meets performance training.

The focus is on mobility, strength, stability, injury prevention and healthy movement quality — for anyone who already has minor issues or wants to train in a healthy, sustainable way long-term. The class combines targeted exercises from physiotherapy and athletic training to strengthen your body and movement patterns for the long run. That means you stay resilient even under intense martial arts training, and can prevent injuries proactively instead of only reacting once something already hurts.

Pekiti Tirsia Kali training at IMAG e.V. Berlin

Pekiti Tirsia Kali

A Filipino stick-fighting art.

Pekiti Tirsia Kali (PTK) is the family system of the Tortal family, passed down by style-keeper Grand Tuhon Supremo Leo T. Gaje Jr. Since PTK is built around bladed weapons, training starts with weapons from day one — using rattan sticks instead of sharp blades for safety. The principles transfer from the stick to many other weapons, and to empty hands too: PTK is far more than stick or knife fighting alone, it's a complete system of tactics, strategy and high repetition.

Our training covers different ranges and weapon categories — from single stick and knife, to two weapons, through to empty-hand technique. Our group is a member of the PTTA under Grand Tuhon Jared Wihongi and teaches, among other methods, the modern Tri-V method.
